Pets are not welcome at Glen Park.
Leashed pets are welcome at Island Park.
There were porta potties at Island Park. There was a toilet building at Island Park but I did not check to see if it was open.
An hour to walk from parking to both parks and back to parking will be enough unless you have children who want to play on the playground at Island Park or if you want to use one of the many benches to enjoy the falls at Glen Park. I did not walk over a mile during the entire time.
Both parks were packed with people. There was a graduation party being held at the shelter at Island Park. A wedding party was with their photographer at Glen Park. Families were picnicking, couples were walking. It was nice to see so many people enjoying the paved trails and the unpaved areas.
Long pants not needed.
There is poison ivy crawling up some of the trees closest to the river in Glen Park.
No cost for parking.
Parking in a paved lot. Will host 25+ cars.
Today I saw beautiful trees and flowers including pine, locust, maple, willow, bee balm, lily, lamb's ear, Annabelle hydrangea, and phlox. A sweet momma duck and her ducklings were wandering about the park.
